Notice is hereby given that the DeKalb Park District intends to contract for the following items and services titled, "HOPKINS PARK COMMUNITY CENTER - AHU REPLACEMENT PROJECT".

Bids for said contract are invited and will be opened at the DeKalb Park District Administrative Offices, 1403 Sycamore Road, DeKalb, Illinois 60115. The DeKalb Park District reserves the unrestricted right to reject any or all bids received, to waive or not to waive any informality, or to accept the bid considered to be in the best interest of the Park District. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the IL Wages of Employees on Public Work Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Bids shall be submitted for a single mechanical contract that will include the following:

  • Replace the existing 4,500 CFM 15-ton air handling unit AHU-2, located in the second floor mechanical room. This indoor unit includes a DX cooling coil with remote condensing unit on grade. The new unit will increase to 20 tons of cooling.
  • Replace the gas-fired duct furnace downstream of the AHU. This includes replacement of the associated mixing box and ductwork as necessary for AHU installation, as well as revisions to gas piping, electrical and controls.

Recommended Pre-Bid Meeting: Thursday June 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.

Bid Opening: Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., DeKalb Park District, 1403 Sycamore Road, DeKalb, Illinois 60115.

Bid will be awarded, provided all necessary requirements have been met, at the regularly scheduled DeKalb Park District Board of Commissioners Meeting on June 21, 2018.
