Fitness Flex Pass

Ballet Body Fit
Get that "dancer's body" by combining simple ballet exercises with light cardio, matwork, and stretching all while enjoying fun, upbeat music.

Boot Camp
Sick of boring cardio workouts? Get back to basics with a fitness "Boot Camp". This military inspired workout tests your limits as you maneuver your way through each exercise using your own body weight and energy for a full body workout. All fitness levels are welcome and recommended for those looking to set personal fitness goals and standards.

Butts & Guts
Cardio and toning intervals designed to strengthen the core, glutes and thighs. Designed for intermediate to advanced fitness levels, many moves can be modified for all. Be prepared for an intense class that moves quickly and challenges you!

Core Camp
Keep your workout routine "centered"! Strengthen your core, abs, and obliques while improving your balance with and intense 30-minute core workout.

Breakthrough and avoid fitness plateaus through cross-training that incorporates a variety of disciplines into a vigorous and supremely productive workout. Cross-Training is encouraged for all levels of fitness.

Burn fat and rapidly tone without high impact pounding or complex movements. Whether you're just starting on your journey to health and fitness or an excelled athlete, this class will challenge you and change your body. You'll engage in intense nonstop cardio, while burning calories and vaporizing fat. You can expect to elevate your metabolic rate and see a stronger healthier "you".

Stretch & Strength
Learn to build and relax your muscles at the same time. Balancing strength and flexibility is an important component of achieving your fitness goals. All fitness levels welcome.

Tabata involves short intervals, less than a minute, working large muscle groups. This workout can burn over 13 calories a minute and up to double an individual's metabolic rate for a half hour after the workout. Couple it with another class, or add it as a standalone. An excellent class for all fitness levels.

Come join the party and shrink everything but your smile. The instructor leads you through easy to follow moves that energize your body and spirit. Forget about the workout and move your body to a mix of international, Latin & pop music.

The Park District reserves the right to cancel a Fitness Flex Pass class offering or one-time class due to low enrollment in a particular class, inclement weather, or an emergency cancellation. The Park District will make every effort to communicate any changes to the schedules with enrolled Flex Pass participants. Refunds are not available for Fitness Flex Pass sessions due to the circumstances stated above.

Welcome our new Fitness Programs Instructors...

Conney Storey:
Connie is a certified Zumba instructor and a soon-to-be NETA group instructor.

Annie Hawkins: Annie is a Zin-certified Zumba Instructor and has an extensive background in fitness and dance instruction and performance.

Leigha Jones: Leigha is ACE group fit certified Beach Body Coach on her own personal journey of weight-loss and becoming healthier overall.

Tyler Peterson: Tyler is a Grad Assistant at NIU in the Department of Kinesiology. ADAPT group fitness and Parkour coach. Liz McKee: Liz has a Group Fitness Instructor Course Certification through NIU and is NETA certified.

Dr. MaryBeth Henning: MaryBeth has 3 types of AFFA certifications and 2 BOSU certifications. Mary Lesniwski: ACE group fitness/certified and is a teacher/personal trainer at the YMCA.

Sharon Moskowitz: Sharon certifications include CrossFit II, ANSI movement and mobility, USAW Sports performance, NETA group and Cycle. Sharon is an Exercise Physiologist Grad Assistant overseeing Group Fitness Instructors, Personal Training and Program development and implementation at NIU.
