National Public Lands Day is the nation's largest single-day volunteer effort. It celebrates the connection between people and green space in their community, inspires environmental stewardship, and encourages use of open space for education, recreation, and health benefits. This year National Public Lands Day is on Saturday, September 26. Meet us at NIU's East Lagoon to do your part by hiking through local parks and cleaning them up. No registration required as this is a FREE event! Participate in all three hike series and get a prize!
