Sealed proposals for Welsh Park OSLAD Development - Site Construction in DeKalb, IL, shall be received at the District offices: 1403 Sycamore Rd, DeKalb, IL 60115 until

10:00 a.m. local time, July 7, 2020, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Work generally includes Asphalt Paving, New Playground, Splash Pad and Drainage, Sport Courts and Color, Grading and Landscape.

Minority business firms are encouraged to submit bids. Successful contract bidders are also encouraged to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.

This project is being financed, in part, with funds from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, "Open Space Lands Acquisition & Development" (OSLAD) grant program.

Specifications require the submittal of a 10% Bid Surety with the proposal. In addition, the successful contractor(s) must be able to provide a satisfactory Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond, and required proof of insurance following the award of a contract.

All contracts for work herein are subject to all City rules and regulations and providing for the payment of DeKalb County's prevailing wage rate to all workers involved in these projects.

All bids will remain firm for 60 days after the bid opening. The DeKalb Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities on a bid, and to accept the lowest responsible bid that serves the best interests of the DeKalb Park District.

Sports and Recreation Center HVAC Replacement

Design-Build Services

The DeKalb Park District is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide engineering and construction design-build services, which include but are not limited to, analyzing the building's current HVAC serving the indoor soccer arena and two (2) gymnasiums, assessment and design of a new energy efficient system with the capacity to serve the project areas, preparation of stamped drawings sufficient to obtain building permits from the City of DeKalb, and procurement and installation of the approved systems.
