Learn-To-Swim Courses

The DeKalb Park District is proud to be an authorized provider of the six-level American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program. The program is designed for children age 6 and up, and students progress through the levels at their own pace, mastering the skills in one level before advancing to the next. Each level of Learn-to-Swim classes include training in basic water safety and helping others in an emergency, in addition to stroke development. We are offering a modified version of our Learn-to-Swim programs for ages 3+ and Levels 1 - 4, with Phase 4 safety modifications.

Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills
Level 2: Fundamental Aquatic Skills
Level 3: Stroke Development
Level 4: Stroke Improvement
